ABOUT THE ARTIST

   Lauren has always had a passion for art, color, and special effects makeup.  She creates works of art that is not only detailed, but also highly realistic. Lauren has completed military moulage  and mass casualty injury simulation training in Virginia, where her special effects skills are used, to recreate wounds to help pre-deploying soldiers, firefighters, and EMT's to help optimize the response during atrocities. Her training includes:  MMCIS, County College Special Effects makeup certification, DuCret School of the Arts, and Columbia College Chicago, for stage makeup and costume design. She has also received her Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art from Montclair State University, concentrating in sculpting and painting.  Her backround in sculpting helps her create and sculpt her wounds from scratch. Her experiences includes: special effects makeup for theatre, independent feature length movies , as well as ,injury simulation for medical and safety drills.  She is pursing a career where she can combine her love of creating art, and helping people.  With injury simulation and mass casualty, it joins her two passions.

On the left is injury simulations of surfaced lacerations and of bullet wounds for first-responder drills.
